We have, in our culture, this puritanical work ethic that nothing of value should come without hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. There are a lot of people that go through life believing that success can only attained and created through effort and hard work. They go to their 9-5 jobs, get their work done, live for the weekend when they can finally rest, and start the same grueling process again. But when you move into other energy systems where energy flows and things happen effortlessly and easily because you are doing and you are locked into a great strategy and a great way of achieving things, then it’s not hard work.
In fact for some of my clients, I tell them that if it feels hard, then you are not locked into a new groove, you’re not in alignment with what you want. There’s something, could be small or large, but there’s something out of alignment when you feel like you are working hard to get what you want. And usually that thing that’s out of alignment is their passion for life and passion for how they make a living.
If you are doing what you want, then it’s not hard work. Even though people looking outside-in say, “That looks like hard work to me,” you get to say, “Heck no! I’m having fun! This is joy, this is excitement, it’s not even work. I love putting in these long hours, I love putting in this sweat and blood and this toil to get here because it’s so exciting to be me! It’s exciting to get closer to my goals, my dreams, my destiny!”
Oftentimes, when we study success, and people say it is hard work, looks like hard work, or it has to be hard to get there, I’m almost going to ensure you that they are not in alignment with their Greatness. Because when you feel, and read about, and study great men and women, it’s never about hard work. It’s about the destiny, success, and the excitement of accomplishing their dreams. They live in different energy systems where life is effortless and abundance flows through them easily because they are living life at a “Level 10”. They have the 4 year old psychology of living life to the fullest and taking huge falls to experience massive growth, and ultimately massive accomplishments. They know what they want and nobody could tell them they can’t have it. They enjoy and love the ride and get excited to achieve the thing they desire, and it becomes easy for them because it’s fun.
Most people say that to be successful you have to be a working pack mule, but when you are happy and excited to do what you love those hours of long work become enjoyable! It becomes easy work. When you begin to change how you look at yourself, when you become the fun- loving 4 year old, and your psychology remembers how you felt when you saw that shiny, new red bike without training wheels waiting for you, then your success patterns change! Because you loved how many times you fell, you had the passion and the motivation to ride that bike no matter what! And all of the sudden the blood, sweat, and tears seemed so non-existent. What becomes existent is the exhilaration and determination to be the best bike rider you could be!
